Yoga marathon in Helensburgh To raise money for Otford School local Yoga teacher Amber Muller set herself the challenge of completing 100 sun salutations, starting at 9am, on Sunday 6th July at Helensburgh Scout Hall. All money raised will be donated to Otford School to provide students with the latest computer technology. “The sun salutation works every muscle group in the body in one flowing routine, so doing 100 is a big effort for the mind and body,” said Amber. “I would love a whole lot of positive support, so come along to watch or better still join in. It will be an amazing, energising and uplifting experience. In Houston USA a yoga group completed 100 in 2 hours and Amber was hoping to beat this time and complete the challenge in 1 hour and 40 minutes. “We wanted to see how far you can go and at the same time helping to enable Otford School to teach in a way that engages 21st Century learners and supports the latest educational research,” she said. Locals were asked to sponsor Amber directly or help her complete the yoga marathon and seek sponsorship for their participation.
